Winter holiday month in Gibraltar is bursting with cultural events and great music to end the year with. There are a lot of classical favourites on show this month, addressed to both the adults and children. Have a look at what’s happening in Gibraltar throughout December.

Valentina Lisitsa piano recital: 4th December
Valentina's piano recital is meant to bring the classical, festive music into your hearts with famous compositions from Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Ravel and Mussorgsky. The Convent ballroom is the venue for this recital on the evening of 4th December.

Gibraltar International Jazz Festival8th – 9th December
World's most famous jazz brand, Ronnie Scott's in collaboration with The Ministry of Culture are bringing the International Jazz Festival to Gibraltar this December. The unique venue for this 2 days festival filled with vibrant music is St Michael's Cave. The Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra will be joined by local jazz band, Malfunktion led by Gibraltarian Saxophonist, Nick Gonzalez.

'Magic Potagia and even more': 9th December
Juan Tamaris and his magical show will aim to enchant his public with new surprises, mysteries and joy, on the 9th December at the Florida Theatre.

Beauty and the beast on ice: 22nd December
One of the most famous ballets on ice is about to happen in Algeciras this December. The Ice Palace Ballet in Moscow forms a team of skaters, dancers, singers, jugglers and acrobats, who will bring a fascinating show on an ecological ice rink.

New Year's Eve Celebrations: 31st December
Spending the New Year's Eve in Gibraltar is a great option for both tourists and locals. Public events and also a series of private parties are on choice for this exciting moment.
The Gibraltar Cultural Services have come up with a schedule of entertainment and music to keep everyone up through to the early hours of 2019. Great fireworks show has also been announced.

The Gibraltar Horticultural Society Christmas Show: 6th December
A highlight of Christmas season is the Horticultural Society Christmas Show, where Christmas decorations and floral arrangements will be on display for competition and some available to purchase.

7th SECEMU Bat Research and Conservation Conference: 7th – 8th December
Researchers, ecologists, conservationists, managers and students from across Europe and North Africa are invited to the Bat Research and Conservation Conference that is held at Gibraltar University this year. The common goal is an interest in bats and the unique characteristics of the Iberian populations.

The Gibraltar Christmas Market: November – 22nd December
Gibraltar Artisans Market in collaboration with the Gibraltar Cultural Services are the organiser of this year's Christmas Market, which is set up on Line Wall Road to run on Wednesdays / Thursdays / Fridays until the 22nd of December. Expect handmade festive items, that can make for a Christmas present for the loved ones alongside food, mulled wine and entertainment.
