What's On In Gibraltar this September 2019

September is an exciting month in Gibraltar, with lots to see and do. Here are just a few of our favourite events taking place across the rock this month.


GIBRALTAR DARTS TROPHY 2019

Date: 27th – 29th September

For its seventh year, the Gibraltar Darts Trophy again attracts some of the world’s top players. The event will see 48 players come together and compete across 3 days for a £135,000 prize.

WHALE WATCHING

Date: 22nd September

Dolphin Adventure is the only company to offer a whale watching trip into the strait of Gibraltar, where pilot whales, fin whales, minke whales, sperm whales and even orcas can be found. Their purpose-built catamaran boat offers a comfortable and uncrowded environment to discover these majestic creatures.

GIBRALTAR CALLING 2019

Date: 7th – 8th September

Gibraltar’s biggest music festival returns with two days of incredible international musicians performing at Europa Point Leisure Complex. Across two stages, the Main Stage and the Classic Stage, there is sure to be something for everyone at this world-class music event.

GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY

Date: 10th September

Gibraltar’s national day sees a whole host of activities and events taking place across the Rock. The day commemorates the referendum of 1967, when Gibraltarians decided to remain under British sovereignty. This year’s events include live music, a fireworks display, a political rally, and an aerial display.

ANDREA BOCELLI LIVE

Date: 9th September

The world’s most beloved tenor returns to Gibraltar to perform with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra to as part of the Gibraltar National Week celebrations. Following the release of his number one album ‘Si’ this year, Andrea, the performance at Europa Point Sports Complex will feature a mix of new songs from the album and crowd-pleasing arias.

CALPE CONFERENCE 2019

Date: 19th – 21st September

This year’s conference celebrates the 30-year anniversary of the excavations at Gorham’s Cave and aims to review all outcomes of the project thus far. Key figures in the project will gather at the conference to tell the story of Gibraltar’s long and fascinating history.

TOTALLY TROPICAL PARTY AT BISTRO POINT

Date: 27th September

Head to Bistro Point restaurant at Europa Point for a Totally Tropical party! Enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival and get a taste of the tropics from the all-you-can-eat buffet. Then, dance the night away to the sounds of the islands.
