Gibraltar Rugby vs Jamaica Rugby Football Union: 4th January

Love rugby? Love Gibraltar? Why not show your support at the Gibraltar Rugby vs Jamaica Rugby Football Union on the 4th January 2020. Located at the Europa Point Stadium, you’ll be able to cheer on the local Gibraltar rugby team against Jamaica this January. With free entry, it shouldn’t be a question.

63rd Three King’s Calvacade: 5th January

Christmas may be over, but that doesn’t mean that the celebrations should stop there. Come and join the community, at Casemates Square, for this year’s 63rd Three King’s Calvacade – the first event in Gibraltar since the New Year started. From selections of fun floats to local bands and monetary prizes, there’s no reason not to.

New Year’s Classical Concert: 7th January

Celebrate the beginning of 2020 with Gibraltar’s New Year’s Classical Concert, at the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre. Organised by the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society, the concert will take place on Tuesday 7th January, conducted by the respected James Ham and featuring the well-known orchestra, The European Sinfonietta. With a children’s orchestral concert featuring at 5.30pm and an adult concert at 8.00pm, there’s room for everyone at the New Year’s Classical Concert.

January Sierra Nevada Day Trips: 11th January

If you’re looking for a change of scenery and a bit of adventure, look at the January Sierra Nevada Day Trips for some fun on your holiday. The day trip will start bright and early at La Linea at 5.30am, escorted and led by Shyanne Azzopardi, and will finish at 6pm. Adult tickets are £40 each, and children tickets are only £25 each.

The Gibraltar Chess Festival: 16th – 18th January

If you’re a fan of chess, then you can’t miss out on this year’s Gibraltar Chess Festival Three Day Seminar. You’ll be given the chance to practice for the Gibraltar Chess Festival in a fun and sociable environment at the University of Gibraltar, Europa Point. Featuring GM Veselin Topalov and IM Elisabeth Paehtz, there will be a celebratory dinner with the World Champion winner, Anatoly Karpov.

Levanter Breeze & Surianne live at The Lord Nelsons: 24th January

Lord Nelsons Bar Brassiere is hosting an eclectic night of music with Leventer Breeze and singer-songwriter Surianne performing live on the 24th January 2020 from 9pm. Who doesn’t love live music, drinks and free entry!
