A music icon from the Baroque period, Bach, perfectly combines vitality and drama, agitation and solemnity. The BVW 1052 concert gives the piano his power of music and magic of the unimaginable.

Christmas Concert: 21st December

The concert begins with a piece by English composer E. Elgar, before a performance of the famous ‘Gloria’ by A. Vivaldi. The audience will then hear a rendition of ‘Exultate Jubilate’, a work that Mozart composed on his trip to Italy. The Teatro Villamarta Choir, directed by José Ramón Hernández Bellido and Ana Belén Ortega Vilches, will then close the show.

Manu Sanchez: ‘The Great Emigrant’: 6th-7th December

Humourist and actor, Manu Sanchez, is back again with his new show "El Gran Emigrante". From pungent humour to social criticism and satire politics, El Gran Emigrante is a must-see at the theatres this December. The show will begin at nine o ‘clock at night and tickets will be selling from 18 to 22 euros each at Florida theatre, Algeciras.

Javier Ruibal: 20th December

Javier Ruibal, a musician and songwriter of the flamenco genre, is returning to Gibraltar for his new concert. After 30 years of being in the trade, this award-winning musician has been described as ‘creative and different’ by the famous Jose Manuel Caballero. The concert will be located at the Gramola Room, Algeciras, and Ruibal will be performing from 10pm. Tickets will be selling tickets from 18-23 euros.

The Christmas Story Musical: 26th December

Showing at Florida Theatre, Algecircas, the Christmas Story is one of the many novels written by renowned British writer, Charles Dickens. Cristian Alcaraz and Celia Dolci will be bringing the classic to life on the 26th December 2019 at 6pm. Tickets are selling for only 15 euros.

Annie, The Musical: 29th December

After winning 7 Tony Awards and 3 Grammy awards, Annie, the musical is finally back! The hugely successful musical has returned to the Florida Theatre, Algerciras, for the 29th December. Translated into over 20 different languages and showing an incredible 1,000 shows, Annie has reached more than 1 million views in Spain.

Chapter of Jerez: 6th December

In need of some ideas for this December? Why not take a trip to Juan Luis Galiardo Theatre for the anticipated ‘Chapter of Jerez’ on the 6th December 2019.

Miguel Flores (‘El Capullo de Jerez’), was born on the 3rd April 1954, in the Santiago de Jerez de la Frontera neighborhood. Despite originally wanting to be a soccer player, Flores soon began his artistic career through the Flamenco Thursdays – where he started acting in 1985, in the Madrid tablaos of ‘La Venta el Gato’ and ‘Los canasteros’. Chapter of Jerez will start from 9pm and tickets will be selling for only 15 euros per person.

VI Belen Viviente De San Roque: 14th – 15th December

Get into the festive spirit this December at Santa Maria La Coronada and Plaza de Arms. Join over 200 people in the celebration of the birth of Christ on the V Living Bethlehem. From craft shops, dancing and music to the main Birth scene, there will be lots to fill your time with from the 14th to the 15th December.

December Rate - VII IBERIAN ROUTE OF RATE: 5th – 9th December

VII Iberian Route of Rate (the December Bridge) has become known as the ‘bridge of the Iberian’ and is the bridge of the Constitution on the national territory. From the 5th to the 9th December, the seventh edition of the Iberian route will take part in 25 bars and restaurant kitchens registered for the event. The event is supported by the Gastronomic Association of Tarifa, the City Council and the Association of Businessmen. There will also be a raffle amongst participants, with 3 prizes of 300 euros to be won!

BELÉN VIVIENTE DE TARIFA 2019: 13th – 15th December

Belen Viviente de Tarifa will be arriving this December at Moral District, Rate. The Moral neighbourhood’s courtyards, street networks, and portals will be transformed for hosting different scenes. The event will take place from the 13th to the 15th of December, with visiting hours from six in the afternoon to nine o'clock at night – excluding Sundays.
